Frankenstein was a book which was one of the first Sci-Fi books to ever be made.Following the 18th century development of the novel as a literary form, in the early 19th century, Mary Shelley’s books (1818).Books in these times were mostly Sci-Fi because around these times mostly were about aliens,mutants and all other weird creatures.But the one that I am going to talk about is Frankenstein.Frankenstein was a zombie which was put to test.One day a thunderstorm came and struck him while he was in the test and then a beam of lightning struck on Victor Frankenstein’s creauture (zombie) which made him come alive and therefore Victor Frankenstein could not control him because he was uncontrollable and came from the dead.

Attack Of The Cyborg!
We were just eating out at frankie and bernies and all we hear outside is a thud and we just stop and stare at each other as we were confused of what it was but eager to find out what it was.Moses was the first one to leave but deep down he knew he was scared but on the outside as usual trying to act brave.Nelson came after him and then cut through Moses and Juan because they were too scared and took too long.Nelson then arrived at the edge but looked back at us.He looked back at where he was walking and down he went.The hole was deep and Nelson was stuck down there probably like jelly with a few broken bones.
He shouted,’Go,it’s not safe here!’.We all promised each other from day 1 that we would protect each other’s back as much as we can when its necessary.We lost 2 members as they ran away because of some loud screeching sound.’I will never leave you!Remember you have always been like a brother to me!Im not leaving without you!’,I shouted.
There were only three of us left to help Nelson.As the oldest I thought what was best.I jumped in the hole and went for Nelson.As I was about to grab him to pick him up and bring him a round rock(most probably an asteroid) lifted up.It took me so I slipped and couldn’t catch Nelson.I flew off to places I didn’t know.I tried using my robotic arm as I lost my human arm in a car crash when I was 4 to help me look for anything useful to bring me back to the place that I belong.I landed after a few minutes but then the thing I just realized was that I didn’t have a clue of where I was.The asteroid then exploded and green goo came out but a tiny alien came out with it.As I got closer it got bigger and bigger but then I realized it was big from the start I was just seeing it from a long distance.It opened its big square shaped eyes and with a robotic voice saying,’Target found.’
Before I knew it I almost got my head knocked out of my body.I was like a baseball and a bat because it was trying to kill me.At first I thought that at first it was an alien but it turns out to be that it’s a cyborg with half alien and half cyborg with it therefore having all the powers of the technology I have to use.All I could think about is living and how I couldn’t save Nelson in time before I got taken away by the asteroid and taken to this different world that I don’t even know about or even knew it existed.
Then I had the best idea possible and was here using my technology as I come from the future I used as much defense and protection as possible like if I was an unstoppable cyborg.I was ready I went face to face with the cyborg,I was shaking on the inside but couldn’t show it because I would easily be beaten and will hav put it more confident.I ran up its robotic arms thinking I can do this.Reached the top at the head and then looked for a way to destroy it.Nothing,Nothing at all to do to destroy it.I ran down to the stomach again and there it was clearly seen,the heart,the most sensitive part of its body.I went in cutting my way through to reach the heart cutting through metal parts,leftovers and I was standing right in front of it.I was thinking about the way to destroy it but then realized if it’s made of metal how could I destroy it with a metallic sword?I was there ready to destroy the robotic thing,then thought of destroying it with lava.
It was too late there was no lava close to get to destroy it and there was also no time at all so the only thing I could do was stab the heart.I was in on it,2 centimeters to killing the cyborg and a blade comes.I knew this was my end.

Stormbreaker Book Review
Stormbreaker is about a schoolboy called Alex Rider who becomes a spy for MI6.He goes to Cornwall and explores all around as he doesn’t go to school because he likes to act like an agent but undercover so he dresses casually so people don’t recognise him.
In my opinion I would rate this book a 8 out of 10 because it really hooks the reader in by just reading the blurb.Therefore,you would want to read it because it is interesting and you would want to know more about what Alex Rider is doing and where he is going to go.
He doesn’t take his education seriously and acts like he is a grown man which thinks that he has the perfect job as an undercover spy that travels around the world.He is only 14 and should be practising for his GCSE’s instead of something that isn’t going to help him with anything.
The negative sides of this book is that the setting and characters are set wrong.This is because the characters have too much detail and the setting is hard to picture.Therefore,we find it hard to picture the setting they are in because there is too much detail for the characters and not enough for the setting around them.This is a negative side of what the author did.
The positive is that he made a lot of cliffhangers and made us get hooked into the book.This shows that he has our attention to be able to read the book.
Overall,in my opinion I would say that this authors book about Alex Rider (Book Title:Stormbreaker) would be a solid 8 out of 10.
How does Reeve create an effective character with Shrike?
Reeve makes an effective character because on him he has more than a side of himself.He is also known as a heartless and terrifying monster when he starts to chase Tom and Hester in Airhaven.On the other hand he has a sensitive side of himself.This is shown when Hester is on the shores of her home.This is shown when he picks her up and says,’You can’t stay here child.’
This shows that he has a more caring side to him with the fact that Hester said that that he had no feelings.By this evidence it shows that most probably he was a father because of the way he spoke to the child by calling it ‘child’ and this shows that he was respectful and caring to the child.In a way he was respectful by calling it child and not anything disrespectful.
Shrike lost all his feelings when he became a robot but in my opinion by the way he spoke to the child it looks like when he was human he cared a lot about the children.This shows that Shrike had feelings for the children and cares about children still as before his memory was wiped and also cares about them as his feelings were removed.After his memory got wiped he was sent to kill people and it was unfair that he turned into a robot and he couldn’t express his feelings.He is kind and heart full on the inside but on the other hand he is a destroyer and a predator on the outside.This isn’t fair for him because he should be allowed to live the way he wanted not to be turned into a robot and made to chase and kill people.
It went from a lot of people to liking him and thinking he is a kind and generous man.Then turned into this killing robot which has no feelings for everyone.But only a few know that deep down he has feelings for everyone.For example the child he spoke to it calmly and called it child like he cared about the child.He didn’t disrespect anyone.So in my opinion he would most probably break out and start caring about everyone and won’t be a destroying predator around people and will be like he use to be human and living a good life again.
He most probably hates being a robot and wants to be normal again and is crying on the inside but he doesn’t show it on the outside.I feel bad for him because he starts to do things like killing which is very bad and he started off as a good man but now he was forced to start murdering. Also other things that are illegal to do and not appropriate to do in his environment or anywhere in that world.So therefore in my opinion he should stand up and make himself human again so that he could be loved by everyone again like in the past.
He should be allowed to give his opinion and should be treated as well as everyone else is treated.This is my opinion on why Shrike should be made into human again.
On the other hand,what if he turns human and doesn’t know how to act like he used to like a kind and generous man.What if he still sees everyone as preys and he’s a predator sent to kill when he doesn’t mean to do it?These points are negatives to what he could be but it would take a long time to turn the way he use to be again after so long having no experience to do it again.
Shrike was also a stalker.A good side to himself as later in the book he brings up. When it comes to the point for him to finally kill Hester ,which was the whole point off his mission, he shows her mercy. Then tells her what he has planned for he and it was really surprising as he’s normally a silent assassin. To be honest I’m not sure of how to think of him in the sense that he has many sides to himself.Therefore, it’s difficult especially when he’s supposed to be a heartless killer.In the Mortal Engines, Shrike is shown to be a relentless killer machine.He’s harming several Aviatrices and killing three pirates when his hunt for Hester Shaw takes him to Airhaven.
Shrikes appearance is his glowing bright green eyes at night. They shine as bright as the sun at day.His eyes shine through the dark,dirty,misty street.Also wearing sharp claws looking like knifes on his hands like Wolverine. His all black jacket and black trousers. Finally, with his black shoes making him look really like a true scavenger.Shrike feels as if he is superior to humans.Also, that they are a ‘whining Once-born’. Hester and Tom had escaped Shrike by jumping out of a hot air-balloon. They do this so that the air-ship starts following them will go after the hot air-balloon.They are still inside it while Tom and Hester are walking across the Out-Country and are trying to escape away from Shrike.This was their only strategy/way to run away for their lives from Shrike.
