Stormbreaker is about a schoolboy called Alex Rider who becomes a spy for MI6.He goes to Cornwall and explores all around as he doesn’t go to school because he likes to act like an agent but undercover so he dresses casually so people don’t recognise him.

In my opinion I would rate this book a 8 out of 10 because it really hooks the reader in by just reading the blurb. Therefore, you would want to read it because it is interesting and you would want to know more about what Alex Rider is doing and where he is going to go.

He doesn’t take his education seriously and acts like he is a grown man which  thinks that he has the perfect job as an undercover spy that travels around the world. He is only 14 and should be practising for his GCSE’s instead of something that isn’t going to help him with anything.

The negative sides of this book is that the setting and characters are set wrong. This is because the characters have too much detail and the setting is hard to picture. Therefore,we find it hard to picture the setting they are in because there is too much detail for the characters and not enough for the setting around them. This is a negative side of what the author did.

The positive is that he made a lot of cliffhangers and made us get hooked into the book. This shows that he has our attention to be able to read the book.

Overall,in my opinion I would say that this authors book about Alex Rider (Book Title:Stormbreaker) would be a solid 8 out of 10.
